Lecture notes on Thermal Physics

These notes has been prepared for the B.Sc. second semester students in
accordance with NEP syllabus for MJP Rohilkhand University, Uttar Pradesh. The manuscript is based on the lectures I have delivered
in class during academic session 2021-2022. Along with basic concepts of thermal physics,
problems have also been discussed. Thermal radiation and kinetic theory of gases is not
in the scope of this write-up. Moreover, multiple answer type questions are given as an
exercise to the students. I feel that these notes will bring students more closer to the
subject and help them to think beyond. References followed for preparation, are given at
