Herdsmen and farmers' conflict is not a new thing, but it comes with a hidden agenda in Amo State. After series of neglect and dehumanization, a young man from Amo State arose to liberate his people from their age-long shackles: "We've been hit beyond recovery. There is no wholeness to our existence anymore. We've been pushed into the miry clay of lack and deprivation. Despite that, we're hunted down daily, killed, tortured, arrested, and our women are now herdsmen's new object of rape and all manner of sexual assaults. Our situation in our own land is intolerable: hunger is now a way of life and death no stranger. We've been stretched to a bursting point, yet we hoped that somehow God would touch the hearts of our tormentors to look upon our afflictions with pity. We uttered our degradation, shouted our dehumanization, we looked from the depth of pessimism hoping that our capricious hunters will have a change of mind and let us be, but it's now an established fact that our tormentors see us as less worthy to live in this country..."
