I look around and see people in the world have lost love or maybe never even found it. We see stories every day through social media of how lonely people are without love and that makes for a destructive life. We want to love freely, but don't know how to open our heart out of the fear of being hurt or mistreated. We should learn not to guard our hearts from love, but instead guard ourselves from the bad behavior of others. Although we can't stop the misfortunate accidents of life, we can love and trust in God's grace and His guidance to heal all wounds. It's better to love than not to have loved at all. That is what my mother taught me by allowing me to see clearly the lessons she needed to learn, but never did. Now through my own experiences and lessons, I have a full understanding of what she wanted me to know all along. The ability to accept and love myself is the true gift. Believing in the impossible with hope, courage and the will to shine my own light is the way that I embrace each day. I pray my story will inspire you, uplift your spirit and find the great power that is contained in love, faith and forgiveness. May God's grace and His love guide us to live our fullest lives. This is my gift to you.
