Learning to Fly is the heart-warming story of a boy coming-of age. It is the story of mistakes made and lessons learned. On becoming a teenager, Sam feels that he is now old enough and wise enough to exert his authority over his sister, Cassie. When he attempts to teach Cassie a lesson, the result is a disaster.

Cassie learns that sometimes you need help to fly. In the end, an owl teaches them both that when you fly high you must be careful.
