This play is set in the early 20th century, in a Swedish speaking part of rural Finland. It is all set in a farmer's house, and the discussions cover topics as varied as love, socialism, feminism, and hens.
It was written by Flavia, a pseudonym for Selma Abrahamsson. Abrahamsson (1872-1911) was a pre-school teacher, and was known for her activism in the feminist, and temperance movements. She was also an active member in the Swedish people's party (Svenska Folkpartiet).
