This book is true to descripton. You have to copy a lot of the pages in order to use it right which is a pain, but for the price it is a fair deal. My kids really liked it.
Excellent Homeschool Curriculum
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 16 years ago
This book has it all for a well-rounded curriculum at home. This is the first book I've found that is specifically written for homeschoolers. It includes a section on teaching each of the subjects with great activities and resources, such as a suggested book for each week. This alone is worth the price. Most workbooks are set up for teachers who studied the mechanics of teaching. For the rest of us, clear instructions on best practices for teaching every subject covered are a God-send. The book covers Reading, Language Skills, Spelling, Math, Science, and Social Studies. Additionally, it integrates art, music and movement activities into the lessons. The book is set up for the way homeschoolers work. For each week, there is a two-page spread/grid with a complete lesson plan for each subject, Monday through Friday. Immediately after the week's lesson plan there are all the material you need for each lesson. The book is in full color which is a must for visual learners like my son. My only regret is that I didn't find this book at the beginning of the school year, but we're going to use it for the remainder of the year. I will recommend this book to my homeschool group as an excellent resource for both first-time and seasoned home educators.
