Lean manufacturing

This book is based on a production philosophy called Lean Manufacturing. The main justification for developing this work is the fact that I was able to experience the day-to-day running of a company that uses the concepts and tools of this method. The general objective was to evaluate lean manufacturing practices in a chemical company in the Manaus Industrial Estate. The methodology for developing this work was made up of five stages. In the first stage, the idea of characterizing the research is constructed, in the next stage, the research approach is worked out, subsequently, the company studied was characterized with a specific form defined as an Individual Interview Script, then the methods for data collection were worked out, and finally, the data analysis methods were presented to the technical information used in the research. This work was based on the application of a form to evaluate lean practices in a chemical industry in the Manaus Industrial Estate. The main points analyzed in this research were the areas of Materials and Inventory, Training, Preventive Maintenance and Quality.
