This book is a modest attempt to domesticate available leadership literature for the benefit of local users in particular and the general public in general. This idea is born out of the fact that most books on leadership used in Nigeria have been imported from other countries. The book Leading People, seeks to explain in simple terms, the various approaches and styles of leadership so that people can begin to appreciate the fundamentals of this important subject to enable them achieve success. Organizations or institutions are naturally made up of groups of individuals, and it is the responsibility of the leader to develop and protect the interest of the individuals, and helping them to perform. The leader must therefore, appreciate the problems of the individuals and groups and the organization, through the application of the appropriate leadership style.
