Le Règne de la Nuit. [French]

A victim of a convenient conspiracy, Salifou, an unemployed graduate and father of three, is arrested by the police. His miserable existence, riddled with extreme poverty and social injustice, the unjustifiably premature death of his youngest child, and his wife's unsuspected infidelity were independent events that transformed him into a true revolutionary. On the verge of despair, he embraced a cause foreign to his convictions and became one of the fervent heralds of the Central Committee of the Revolution, an organization established by an unnamed man who aspired to overthrow the existing regime. His imprisonment is followed by a sham trial during which he is accused of being the mastermind behind the infamous plot hatched against the authoritarian regime in his country. His inhumane, harsh, and humiliating conditions of detention degraded and wasted him away. And it was lost in his memories that Salifou breathed deeply the precious last minutes of his fledgling life.
