First Book I have read by Fanny Deschamps and I will be looking for more by her after reading this

Picked this up when I couldn't find something by one of my favorite authors, flipped through a couple of pages, decided it was probably readable. Once I started reading, I didn't want to put it down. A bit romantic, but also very accurate on historical era details. Not mushy or predictable.
