Seven people driving a herd of cattle through Comanche country to Abilene. Seven people drawn together by common danger...torn apart by lust and greed and hatred.". Another fine formulaic western from a Golden Spur award winner. Though Mr. Patten died in 1981 he left many readable westerns, books written by one of the best, ole time western writers. Semper Fi.
