I looked away from the rose garden filled with thorns, fresh petals slowly being clutched by the fire. Oh, how envious the light, how they beautifully become the heat and smoke. Took a piece of me there, just to burn, carried the debris with me, embraced myself in my lavender field, what I thought turned into ashes, started igniting every spike of mine, crawling and dancing swiftly down my roots. I didn't brace myself for the blaze. I've never felt this alive. I've never seen such a magnificent purpose. Ember all it takes to trigger the courage, the bravery, and the drive.
