Latine/Latinx children are the fastest-growing population in the United States. Specifically, one in every five children in kindergarten is of Latine descent. Research points at the importance of incorporating culturally responsive practices to better address the needs of this unique population. This book comprises an integration of research generated in recent years with considerations for supporting young Latine children in early childhood education with special attention to strategies for supporting language development and second language acquisition, literacy and narrative skills, and emotional regulation.
