I just tonight picked up this book for the first time since it was published--I may have glanced at it then, but tonight I sat and read. These sparse images will require some work on the part of the reader, but they open slowly. The structure is mostly that of clauses, and the white space, at times, can be deafening. The poems themselves offer a mature look at the world around.
