This is a good example of when everything goes well. The actors are all winners and do not outperform the characters. There is drama, pathos, and comic relief. We have fancy digs and tasty women. Speaking about women, no one told me that Mary Steenburgen, in the persona of a singer named Diana, was the linchpin that holds the focus of the story.
