In the short time Peter Canty, an investigator for the railroad, had been in town, it had soured Harry Logan on the man. He had no use for him. But when things reached a certain point between the two men, there came a point when they had to work with each other to try and hunt down the man who had derailed the Burnsville train and stolen 50,000 dollars. A deal was struck--find the man, then they would shoot out the rage that was between them. A good, sound, believeable yarn written in the best western tradition of the 1950's.
