Last Flight Out

By A.L. Ferguson

Last Flight Out is a medical aviation thriller about survival, loyalty, and the cost of getting the truth out alive.

When a catastrophic storm system traps a rural hospital, flight nurse Liv Pruitt and the air medical crew are pushed into the kind of call nobody trains for. Flooded roads. Failing power. A grounded town. A patient who cannot be left behind. And a witness whose secrets could expose more than one death.

As the water rises and the official story begins to crack, Liv must decide who she can trust, what she is willing to risk, and how far she will go to bring her crew home.

Set in the world of Critical Altitude, Last Flight Out blends medical suspense, first responder grit, crime thriller tension, survival stakes, and slow-burn emotional drama. For readers who like storm-soaked thrillers, air rescue fiction, rural suspense, and stories about ordinary people forced into impossible choices, this is a grounded, high-stakes ride into the dark.
