Instead of making older retirees the butt of jokes, Steve draws on their technical knowledge from the 60's and 70's to solve a space problem that the youngsters of 2000 can't. This is in the same genre as Tom Brokaw's "The Greatest Generation". A must read for everyone who grew up during the early years of space exploration.

S. P. Cammick has an excellent command of the English language. His engineering knowledge is extensive and has made this book, LAST BREATH - SPACE STATION RESCUE, seem like a true story rather than fiction. It is unusual for a young man raised in the age of computers to put such value on people skills and experience.

Just finished "Last Breath" - What a great read. Haven't enjoyed a good space/science fiction in years. Cammick certainly does write well.
Praise for Last Breath

Cammick has succeeded admirably in combining technical know-how;an exciting, volatile situation fraught with danger; and Jake, a character whose sensitivity to his world and work is never sacrificed or drowned out by the all too-real bureaucratic/political roundtables of the day. Enthralling, entertaining, AND intelligent!!!!
