Last Admission

By John Wayne Lipscomb

Halloween was supposed to be a night of screams, scares, and harmless fun.
A group of college friends traveling into the mountains of Preston County, West Virginia, think they've found the perfect way to celebrate-a secluded haunted attraction hidden deep along the backroads, run by the mysterious Hatch family.
At first, everything feels terrifyingly convincing.
The masks.
The blood.
The screams echoing through the dark.
They laugh because they believe it's all part of the show.
Until one of them realizes the blood is real.
What begins as a Halloween adventure quickly becomes a fight for survival as the friends discover they haven't entered an ordinary haunted house at all. They've walked directly into the hunting ground of a family that has been killing for far longer than anyone knows.
Behind the horror is an even darker secret.
One of the college students is a Hatch.
She knew what waited for her friends.
She brought them there anyway.
But she never expected to fall in love.
As the night turns increasingly brutal and bodies begin to fall, she makes the one choice her family can never forgive: she helps the man she loves escape.
She believes that if they survive the night, love might be strong enough to overcome what she has done.
She is wrong.
Because survival doesn't erase betrayal.
And sometimes the person holding your hand through the darkness is the very person who led you into it.
LAST ADMISSION is a brutal Appalachian Halloween horror story filled with murder, family secrets, forbidden love, betrayal, and revenge.
At the Hatch family's haunted house, everyone pays to get in.
Not everyone gets to leave.
