Dated but very informative

Seeing as this book was printed in 1979 it includes some (now) dated information. However, the book covers basic laser principles very well. It even includes several sample 'Projects' that will allow someone new to lasers to easily construct one of several types (solid, gas, diode). If you are able to find a copy somewhere, it's a good book to pick up.
