Laser and pulmonary functions in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease

In an attempt to introduce new modalities in management of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease which is a leading cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide. Recent studies have clearly shown that laser acupuncture can be used successfully as an alternative to the traditional acupuncture metal needles treatment. This study was conducted to contribute and add a new information as it provided a scientific basis for the clinical application of laser acupuncture therapy in the management of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Significantly, this research provides a guide for the postgraduate students as it outlined the main items that should be covered in preparation of the scientific thesis in simple, informative and integrated layout.
