The Sumerians are a peaceful people, but news of other Mesopotamian tribes usurping their cities is a constant threat. Anyora is a hybrid human, injected with alien DNA from the planet Xenos. The Sumerians have believed in and worshiped anicent gods who controlled all aspects of life. In Sumerland a belief in the One God begins and spreads throughout Sumer. The King of Sumerland and other cities of Sumer begin to discontinue worship iin and fear of the Anunnaki. Hender-Sin is a nephew of the King of all Sumer, Ibbi-Sin, located in the city of Ur. Hender is a scribe who invents a new system of sounds, rather than pictographs representing words. he and Anyora's relationship blossoms into a romance. Hender is called to scribe for his uncle, the King, and he travels to Ur. The two lovers are separated for many years amid attacks by warring armies.
