Lancer: Setting Guide Volume 1

By Miguel Lopez

An expansive look at the people and places of the Lancer galaxy that players can use to enrich their campaigns

Collecting two setting guide expansions for the hit sci-fi, mud-and-lasers tabletop roleplaying game about piloting giant modular mechs, in print for the first time!

Take your Lancer campaign to strange new worlds with The Karrakin Trade Baronies and The Long Rim setting expansions, collected in print for the first time!

Touch down in the Karrakin Trade Barronies, the oldest human civilization in Union space. A place of deep tradition and legend, the Baronies is increasingly a realm of surging political intrigue and social division! But the great engine of industry in the Baronies is grinding to a halt, and a rising tide of Republicanism threatens to shake the Baronies to its core. Will you help usher in a new age for old Karrakis, or stand aside lest you be crushed?

And set your sights on the Long Rim, a lawless sector of Union space. It is home to corrupt, self-serving Enterprises; pirate outfits that prey on unprotected ships; and myriad other groups, from the uncanny HORUS cells to the clandestine Horizon Collective. Alone, or with your small squad, you can't change the Rim; but you can make your mark, whether as a scoundrel or paragon.

This collection provides an expansive look at the people and places of the Lancer galaxy that players can use to enrich their campaigns. It also includes supplemental systems for generating maps and characters to populate your games; rulesets that you can use to play in new ways; and additional mechs that you can pilot throughout the galaxy!
