This is a collection of narrative poems with the main one being the title poem. Lamentation of the Woman on the Run is unique in the sense that it vividly highlights the plight of women world over. Told in a simple and straight forward manner and elementary English, the poem tackles almost all the areas in which women in general are afflicted. This will therefore act as a clear voice for the voiceless.The poem highlights the plight of women in both traditional and modern settings. It encompasses issues affecting the girl, child the adolescent girl, the married woman, the working woman, and the woman in politics. The poem addresses causes, effects and possible solutions to Gender Based Violence against women.
