Lalla Awakens: Nondual Poetry of Lal Ded

In this very modestly-priced edition, there are twenty-four transcreations of the poems (vakhs) of Lal Ded from a nondual point of view. Although not strictly translations, each one follows closely and carefully the translation, commentary, and language notes of Grierson (a reference number to Grierson's translation is included in each title) and other works which reference to Grierson as well, to tease out the message of the Lal Ded poem as I hear it in its energetic and rhythmic movement of wisdom. They are written in the deepest respect for the poet in an earnest attempt to display the intent behind her incomparable words. A bibliography of the translations of Lal Ded used in this work is included for further research or enjoyment by any inquisitive reader.
