Leonardo da Vinci painted Lady with an Ermine (or Dama con l'ermellino) circa 1489-1490. It depicts Cecilia Gallerani, then mistress of Ludovico Sforza, Duke of Milan - who is likely best known for commissioning The Last Supper - and was painted while Leonardo was in the Duke's service.
