Very entertaining

All of the books in this series are very good. Each time I read one think that one is the best, then I reread another and think THAT one is best. They all have strong characters, witty narrative and often hilarious dialogue. It is the wit that elevates this authors work above that of her peers. .

Liked it from the beginning

This book finally made it to the top of my to-be-read pile and I was happy that it did! Fast paced, kept my interest and I read it in one sitting!

So Good

I loved this book. It was a combination of "Pride and Prejudice", "Little Women", and "A Christmas Carol". I was interested by page 2 and hooked by page 10. Very good character developement and all the characters were loveable. I laughed out loud in a couple spots, which is very rare. I wasn't expecting very much from a 4 star book but I read this in one sitting.

Another Great Story

I have been a fan of Karen Hawkins since she started and I must say that this last book is the best one yet. Karen has managed to take the precdibility out of Romance Novels. Granted the main characters always end up together but the road to that end is rarely predictible and usually very humorous. I found this book to be extremely entertaining and just a lot of fun to read and will have no problem re-reading it again and again. GOOD GOING KAREN and keep up the good work. I can't wait to see what you come up with next.

One of the Best I've read in a long time

Karen Hawkins have done it with this book! I read nothing but regency romance and I hate it when there's not one book on the shelf worth reading. I still buy because I love to read but after a few chapters of NOTHING, I end up picking another book hoping it would be IT. Well, this one's special enough to encourage me to write a review. The hero and heroine seem too real they'll make you get in touch with your romantic side. They made me feel like I was in the same place they were in as they bantered with each other. They came alive as I read the book, which is really what I look for. This book doesn't drag and it's full of emotions and witty repartee even from the family and the coachman. I could not put this one down and I read it overnight! Marcus and Honoria's story will be placed among my collection of keepers and I look forward to the time when I think I've forgotten their story and read it all over again. Hurry up Ms. Hawkins and write another one just as excellent as this.

wonderful finale to a terrific fun regency series

His siblings admit to the oldest brother Marcus that they have failed to find the missing family heirloom, the Talisman Ring that vanished after it worked its last magic leading to another one of them getting married. Only Marcus remains single, a state he plans to remain permanently in. However, he learns that a woman with a streak of white in her hair that made her look unique and an uncanny knowledge of Italian ancient swords might have the ring. This female was a companion to Lady Talbot who has since died and no one knows the female's name. Marcus does - the bane of his existence - Honoria Baker-Sneed possesses the ring. He offers her money, but she refuses demanding much more. In desperate financial straits with her father and brother overseas and they being without money, Honoria and her sisters need help. Honoria wants Marcus to sponsor her sibling so that they can broker a good marriage. As they argue the ring does its best and soon Marcus and Honoria fall in love, but he remains obstinate that love does exist in spite of his seemingly happy insane siblings and his desire to kiss his antiquities opponent Honoria every time he sees her. The final Talisman Ring regency romance is a wonderful finale to a terrific fun series as the most stubborn of the siblings falls to the power of the ring. The story line is driven by the gender war between Marcus and Honoria as they squabble over remittance for buying what he claims he already owns and she insists possession is the law. Karen Hawkins provides a delightful ending to this historical, but perhaps the ring can do some Victorian magic on readers.
