A singer hiding from an abusive husband finds real love

Singer Sabrina Blue is hiding from her past. She is singing in a nightclub. Guy Latimer comes and heres her sing and tries to sign her to a contract. But fear for her son makes her refuse to size. Guy doesn't like being rejected. He is amazed at the voice of Sabrina and intrigued by her beauty. Sabrina's real name is Deborah. Beauty is more than being slim and attractive. People who aren't slim are also beautiful and seen that way to people but the world newspapers doesn't want people to see that. I enjoyed this book immensely. It is a book you cannot put down. You will be amazed how three romances emerge.

Luv Ya Lady Blue

Deborah Spencer wants the same things most women do. A man who loves her as she is, success in a career she loves, not to have her son or herself murdered by a psychotic ex-husband... When Deborah, a plus-sized housewife and mother, finds herself married to an unfaithful and abusive man, she runs, fearing for her safety and that of her son. She changes her identity and embarks on a new life as Sabrina Blue, singer. She lucks into a partnership in a nightclub with street-wise Dex Randall and becomes a local celebrity. Guy Latimer, a successful record producer, hears her soulful singing one night and offers her a recording contract. Sabrina, not wanting the publicity for fear of her husband finding her, declines the offer. Even so, Guy finds himself strongly attracted to her. After Sabrina falls prey to a nasty gossip columnist, her husband appears to turn her world upside down again. Romance, mystery, and above all realism. The characters are three-dimensional and you'll enjoy spending some time with them.

Characters You Really Care About

My thanks to Judy Bagshaw for writing this wonderful book. I devoured "Lady Blue" quickly, eagar for more. In the first few pages, she makes you care about the characters. They are so real, you feel as if you could sit down and have coffee with them (or have done so already.) I found Ms. Bagshaw's treatment of plus size women issue very skillful. She makes us aware that the beautiful Ms.Blue is not your sterotypical size 3, but for most of the book, you forget about the characters size. It's not that important, which is the way it should be. She is just a human being juggling romance, motherhood, and the threat of a violent ex husband. If you want to read a book that makes you feel like you are following the lives of people you know, if you really want to care what happens to the characters in this suspensful novel, then I recommend Lady Blue. Look to read other books by this author as well. I know I will. Bravo Judy Bagshaw, Bravo!
