Un exquisito despliegue intelectual - Great Book -
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 20 years ago
In a dark, heavy, and sometimes slow story, German Espinosa developed a magnificent novel. The multiple pieces of the puzzle are softly connected using a rich and descriptive Castellano (for the spanish version.) In 300+ pages with great historical references, Espinosa takes us to a journey of intelectual achievement by Genoveva Alcocer - a true renaissance woman in the static world of Colonial Latin America. If you do not know German Espinosa, I'll suggest you to start with his "short-stories". He will quickly grow on you, and the next obvious step will be to read La Tejedora de Coronas.
