La Petite Mort

By Kezia Thomas

Maeve is, what she would consider, an average woman: mother, wife, dog walker, lover of tattoos, music, art and all things spooky. She lives day by day, same routine as always, with the classic, 'perfect' suburban family. Her husband has a great job, her kids do well in school, they live in a good neighbourhood with money in the bank... she seemingly has it all.
She's a dreamer though, always fantasizing. One of the only ways for her to be free from suburban motherhood and a rapidly growing stale marriage, cloaked in possession.

But, most of all, Maeve needs to get laid.
Desperately.

Everything seems to be normal, mundane and stereotypical... until she meets him.
He's everything she's ever dreamed of: a walking, talking enigma.
She knows it's wrong, she knows she shouldn't... but the physical electricity she feels between them is something she cannot ignore. There was no need to fantasize anymore: her dreams were about to become a reality.

Swept away in a whirlwind, sex filled romance, Maeve struggles to keep him a secret, as she tries to figure out what she truly wants, possibly to the detriment of her family.
