Abscondi eloquium tuum in corde meo, " Thy word have I hid in mine heart " (Ps 119, 11). Under this title, colleagues, disciples and friends of Gilbert Dahan have decided, on the initiative and under the direction of Annie Noblesse, to address him a collection of Melanges in homage to his scientific work and the profound renewal he has brought to various fields of research: the phenomenology of medieval liturgical games, relations between Jewish intellectuals and Christians in the Middle Ages, and medieval Christian exegesis. Based on his interest in medieval exegesis, its history and reception, they offer twenty-one contributions, classified under five headings: elucidating, glossing and commenting, interpreting, conferring and preaching. A study of the musical setting of Ps 101 by Pierre Cesar Abeille (1674-1733), whose works appeared in a manuscript of the Bibliotheque nationale de France, also pays tribute to the musician and music lover to whom this book is dedicated. The volume also includes a list of Gilbert Dahan's works and publications.
