The Belle poque for Marie-Albert Baudin Joseph is the period of her childhood, happy and carefree, when she lived in the countryside with her grandmother, in the pretty town of Vauclin in Martinique.
After some dark years of marriage, she moved to France, on the C te d'Azur in search of a better life for her and her six young daughters. At 40, she begins a new existence full of uncertainties in an unknown environment.
Eighteen years later in 1980, she retired and returned to Martinique, where she lived peacefully until her death in January 2005.
Her book is the story of her life's journey but also a deep reflection. It is a cocktail of memories, anecdotes, and events. It is the testimony of her strength of character, resilience, and determination in the face of life's great challenges.
She takes us unfiltered to the heart of her story.
Marie-Albert Baudin Joseph was born on November 28, 1922. The publication of her book on November 28, 2022 is a celebration of her centennial.
