Something very strange has been flowing out of the Mordor Void, and no one can account for it. The mysterious tidal flows that come to be called the "Drift," have now become a river, and it is coming right towards Regia-7. There is no way to stop it, nothing to shoot at or destroy, and no one seems to be able to understand what the Drift actually is-until it reaches Regia-7 and begins to coalesce around one of that planet's moons. We begin this volume with a revelation of what the Drift is, and how it was strangely connected to the work of an itinerate Rock Hopper working to slow the rotation of an Asteroid Segment in the Trojans of Earth's home system. His name was "Run DMC." The discovery he made some volumes ago will act like a key that unlocks Human understanding of what is about to happen at Regia-7, and they come to call it, "Kythera."
As the story develops renewed conflict with the Khel presents itself again, but this is a war that Karpov's normal playbooks will not be able to win. So yet another tough decision is made and then Anton Fedorov must step up in a time of growing crisis when forbidden weapons now threaten the destruction of Eden and the other key core colonies Humanity has labored so long to create.
