"Kruisbeen op die Mat" is a compilation of 39 short stories - written in Afrikaans - capturing pieces of life, love, hurt and growing up, which is often part of a teenage girl's journey into womanhood.

The stories are loosely based on personal experience and on the lives of the friends I grew up with. Each story has an original photo heading.

The book is aimed at the older teenage market, to enforce that their turmoil of emotions and fears are just as real as it seems to them - and that in the end, true love will conquer all. It will however also be enjoyed by adults reminiscing about their younger years.
