An Air Force Transport Plane has crashed atop America's tallest and most inaccesible peak. Against impossible odds, Lieutenent Gary Palmer begins an ascent up the treacherous slopes of Mt. Kota, as part of the US Army's three-man lifesaving team. Nothing can prepare the young soldier for the horror that awaits above. Trapped in a web of murder and betrayal, of chemical warfare and living death, Palmer uncovers a sinister secret at the mountain's summit. A terrifying experiment transforms a daring rescue mission into a frantic race for survival as Palmer finds himself facing almost certain death at the hands of the most unexpected predator of all: THE UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT...An exciting story with an interesting twist. The military aspects, and government cover-ups ring true.

This book is flawed in places, yet it is an interesting read. Shining through at the beginning and the middle, but a poor ending lets it down. However I would still recommend it to readers who want a change.
