The Konrad Trilogy...

I had never really read a book, until I came across the Konrad trilogy. I loved ever paragraph of these books; the story is a true masterpiece of an individual life. It is not for the faint hearted as it is gruesome from beginning to end. The ending of the story excellent, and will certainly leave you wondering. All in all the Konrad Trilogy is an excellent insight to the world of Warhammer.

A good nights read

Konrad was a fairly good book. It is a reprint from the old line of Warhammer novels. Being the first book in a trilogy you think it would end with at least some sense of closure, Konrad however has none whatsoever. Where as most books in a series have an episodic feel to them Konrad seems to just drop off.

This was a surprisingly good novel.

Konrad is an excellent testament to the adage 'don't judge a book by it's cover (or it's length)'. The Warhammer logo was an immediate turn-off and had it not been for someone's favoured recommendation, I almost certainly would have passed it over. While it had the charm of a fairy-tale it is extremely grim from beginning to end, but in the best possible way. I especially enjoyed the description of the world's monsters- hordes of grey limbs, beaks and claws; haunting. I'm strongly looking forward to the next two books in the series.
