Vegetation mapping at the scale of landscape units is based on the physiognomy map and theecological envelope map. These maps propose a homogeneous spatial division of the territory basedon physiognomic and ecological criteria, respectively. The physiognomy map is based on photo-interpreting imagery and analyzing satellite imagerytime series.
