Kolkata Girls: Pandals, Plates & Pyaar
They were supposed to go viral. They caught feelings instead.
When Ishu Dasgupta, Kolkata's chaos-powered food creator, lands a Durga Puja sponsorship she never asked for, she expects free atta, endless pandal hopping, and maybe a few thousand extra followers.
She does not expect Rukmoni Bora.
Rukmoni is a relentlessly professional TV reporter with laminated rundowns, crisp white kurtas, and a habit of signing every message with "- R." She likes schedules, control, and keeping her private life exactly that-private.
Ishu likes none of those things.
Forced together for a five-day Puja collaboration, they spend Shashthi to Dashami fighting over camera angles, pronunciation, food, sponsors, schedules, and basically every decision known to humanity.
Then a candid video goes viral.
Suddenly the internet thinks they're a couple.
Their sponsor wants more chemistry.
Their families start asking questions.
And the line between performance and reality becomes impossible to find.
Between crowded pandals, committee aunties, fish fry shared behind pillars, late-night taxi rides, accidental intimacy, and one very public disaster involving a brand campaign that should never have existed, Ishu and Rukmoni must decide whether they want to keep performing for everyone else-or finally be honest with themselves.
Set against the vibrant madness of Kolkata's Durga Puja, Pandals, Plates & Pyaar is a slow-burn sapphic romance packed with food, festivals, found family, viral chaos, emotional vulnerability, and two women discovering that the scariest thing isn't being watched by millions of people-it's being truly seen by one person.
