Kobala is a little girl with big dreams of playing for the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). This story is loosely based on me playing basketball with my big brother as a little girl. We had a dirt basketball court in the backyard and I spent countless hours practicing shooting the ball. Once, I even beat my big brother in a game of "Horse." Unfortunately, my brother passed away in 2017, but I'm sure he would have loved this book. The name "Kobala" is a combination of Kobe Bryant and Kamala Harris. I came up with the name because I was impressed with the way Kobe supported his daughter playing basketball, and I wanted to find a way to also honor the first female vice president of the United States. The overall message is that girls can do anything and there are no limits to what they can accomplish!
