As early as 1989 a tremendous hunger developed within me for the things regarding Holy Spirit. I quickly enjoyed observing the manifestations of Holy Spirit as He operated through countless individuals in congregational and personal evangelism environments. Often times I asked the Lord to use me in the capacities being observing but it appeared little to no results occurred. My hunger deepened and I continued surrounding myself with individuals desiring similar experiences. I became a dedicated student of the Holy Spirit through biblical studies, reading stories of the forefathers in the faith, and personal observations.

In the spring of 1990, I had my first personal encounter with the Holy Spirit. I will never forget the Sunday morning service when my Pastor asked if anyone desired a deeper experience with the Holy Spirit. Needless to say, I about tripped getting to the altar because I felt I couldn't get there fast enough. I stood and Pastor simply prayed, 'receive the Holy Spirit'. I fell back to the floor and laid there for what felt like an eternity. As I arose from the floor, I began speaking in tongues.

Over the years the Lord has graciously used me through discerning of spirits, visions, dreams, healing(s), and prophecy. It has been an amazing experience to be a blessing to others in both church and evangelistic ministry because of the power and gifting(s) of the Holy Spirit. I do not claim to possess anyone gift but simply desire to be used in whatever capacity possible to see people come to Christ and grow in their faith.

This book was originally written as a study on behalf of several lay people desiring to know more about the Holy Spirit. Since that time the material has been distributed in prisons and personal and small group studies. The material continues to be a demand among many people desiring to know more about the Holy Spirit. Individuals have discovered the material provides an easy to follow understanding for beginners, yet also an exhaustive understanding for those seeking a deeper meaning and experience.
