Poorly produced, horrible directions

This is a very cheaply produced book that looks as though it is self-published. It's in a small format, with very few words per page. The instructions are terrible. On the "beginner's" sweater, which is supposed to be garter stitch, the photo is of a cable pattern with a high turtleneck and ribbed bottom and neck, but the instructions are for a plain garter-stitch sweater with no ribbing. The total instructions for the neck are "Pick up and knit stitches along the neckline. We knit with garter stitch in 4 rows. BO freely." How many stitches?? The "Kid's Raglan Sweater" shows an intarsia fox face in the photo, but there are no instructions for doing that. The "Intricate Fair Isle Sweater" does not include any charts for the design. It simply tells you to "Create or select a Fair Isle chart with 12-20 rows of complex patterns. Make sure the chart has repeats that fit evenly into the stitch count for the size you are knitting." Really helpful. And then there is the mysterious direction, "Raised wheels are usually incorporated into the map at regular intervals to ensure the caliper fits properly." Say what?? For the "Lace Panel Tunic" the photo is of an incredibly intricate lace pattern varied over the entire surface, but the entire instruction for the lace panel is, "Row 1 (RS): *K1, YO, SSK, K1, K2tog, YO, K1* repeat to end. Row 2 (ZS) and all even rows: Turn all stitches. Row 3: We knit all the stitches. Repeats rows 1-4 for the lace panel pattern." The "Cozy Winter Sweater" again shows a photo with an intricate reindeer and snowflake Fair Isle pattern, but that isn't even mentioned in the instructions, and it includes the less-than-helpful instruction, "Follow the instructions for the back, but use a lower neckline if needed. For the bottom neckline begin shaping the neckline after working approximately 8 inches from the cast-on edge. Work both sides of the neckline at the same time to main symmetry." Clear as mud. This is literally the worst knitting pattern book I have ever bought.
