When a young Codie Williams 3 stepped out on affluent his high school sweetheart while working to pursue his dreams of college for a troubled teen mom Justine Slaughter he could have never guessed how terrible things could get. Justine is a daughter of a dope fend mother who subjected her to unthinkable things in the downtown streets of Sacramento California. She was already a single mom who didn't want her first child, but has now become pregnant With Codie's son. Codie was excited to have a son, and to be a dad. But evil Justine now had a pawn to manipulate Codie unbeknownst to him anything she did wrong he would be the blame for it all.

A lesson we all can learn from on how black fathers are systematically separated from their child then labeled as Absent or Dead beats. For years she turned his life upside down crying wolf and setting him up to take the fall using his love for his first child and the need to be a great father as bait for it all. He was young, smart, not perfect, but determined to be a good father.

Codie could have never imagined how his life would have become a nightmare. A young man having to battle the baby momma from hell just give his child the love and support he deserved. Throwing everything at him from fists, insults, murder Plots, sleeping with his friends, to lying to get him locked up, but what doesn't kill your makes you stronger even though no one forged in fire can come out unscathed. The Codie everyone once knew had become unrecognizable as he keeps trying time and time again to keep a bond with his son. The sinister Justine used the kid to fulfill her needs, brings the father to his knees and when she doesn't get her way all hell breaks loose and she doesn't care who she destroys. It is a story of drama, lies, sex, action packed ride of retaliation, redemptions, kidnapping and abuse of the legal system. Who is the real monster is left for the reader to decide. This is a hero's tale of survival against all odds that most black fathers can relate to but don't have the guts to say.
