Fun & Informative!

This book rocks! Want to figure out why something is not coming out right, even though you are following a recipe exactly? This book is delightful and it helps me understand how various foods cook, bake, rise, fall, firm up, stay soft, dry out, are too watery, etc. And the explanations are explained in fun stories or nerdy food science that tickles your funny bone. The writer is highly acclaimed and well known for her sense of humor and clarity of explanation in all of her cookbooks. Her books are give authoritative reasons why why a recipe works or does not work. I highly recommend this book and all books by this author!
