A delightful and delicious introduction to the kitchen.

This book introduces children to cooking using various classical children's themes. It does so in a non-sexist and non-patronizing way, and the recipes within are both fun and delicious. It is divided into sections based around old favorites for children, including Tom Sawyer, the Boston Tea Party, Gulliver's Travels and the Wizard of Oz, which are attractive to boys and girls alike.I was given a copy when I was 10 years old, and it began in me a love of cooking which has only increased with age. Now aged thirty, I was hoping to get a copy so I could give it to my children when I have them. I still know some of the fun recipes by heart (for example "Hopscotch Brownies" and "Playin' Hooky Cookies"), and carried my copy twice around the world with me before I lost it. Thank you so much, Deborah Jarvis. I'm sad that this book is out of print.
