This is the english translation of "Kitab Al-Mihnah" ( The book (about) the affliction) which is the narration of the author Hanbal ibn Ishaq - rahimahullah - regarding the incidents and what occurred when the Imam of Ahlus-Sunnah Abu 'Abdillah Ahmad ibn Hanbal was tested and afflicted for refusing to say that the Quran is created. The book furthermore contains relevant rulings regarding prayer, the ruler, ikrah (compulsion) and more. About the Author: Hanbal ibn Ishaq ibn Hanbal is the cousin (son of the uncle) of Imam Ahmad. The book is translated by Abu Hajar and published by Al-Aqeedah
