A delightful story of a young girl overcoming odds to become a well rounded, helpful adult.

Although left at an orphanage with her sister and brother, Kit and her siblings are separated. She makes friends with two other orphans, Laurel and Toddy. They make a pack to act like they are handicapped so that they will be adopted to families at the same town. I enjoyed this book so much, that I had to buy and read the other four books in the series. The Orphan Train series is a heartwarming look at several girls that were taken to the west after they were left at the Orphanage in Boston.

Wonderful

Kit is a young girl who just wants to get her family back together. But she is sent on the Train West. This is a book that talks about finding ones self and never giving up hope. I loved it.
