Ehhh… Not my favorite.

Where to begin… Amber is a witch who resides in the Summerlands, a land for the witches of the Weaver family line who reside until they chose to reincarnate or pass on indefinitely, and Grim is a Grim Reaper who is obsessed with her. Plain and simple. No rhyme or reason, and it’s never explained why, he just is. Cool, I guess. Anyway, these two cross paths when a vision troubles Amber enough to venture out of the safety of her otherworldly “haven” into the realm of the Reversed where she meets Grim and must decide whether she should trust him or not while trying to focus on the main task that led her there in the first place. Obviously, this book is marketed as a romance in that, yes, Grim and Amber are a thing in this, but I will say that if you like characters with absolutely no chemistry whatsoever and have a relationship (if you could even call it that) based on mainly lust and nothing else, then you’re in luck, this book is for you. The only good parts, in my opinion at least, were towards the final chapters where romance was out the window and the action amped up, but not the finale itself, which had left me as dry as the beginning chapters had as soon as these two characters started interacting.
