Three different areas of Church History are touched by the essays collected in this tripartite volume. In the second part four studies deal with the history and piety of Germans in Russia in the 19th and 20th Century. The third part collects five essays related to the history of Oldenburg: St. Lambert and its church, baroque theology and the centennials of the reformation in 1817 and 1917.
