As we begin this grand adventure, we find ourselves back in a time when simple things weren't so simple at all. A very strange and unique plague had spread throughout the land creating fear and panic along its wake. Unlike others plagues throughout history, the greatest fear was not that of a tragic and horrible death, but it was the fear of the unknown. When all seemed lost and the future looked the dimmest, a bright beacon arrived to shine over the land. This shining light was a special young lad that would overcome many obstacles to find a way to instill hope back to the people once again. This place I'm referring to is the legendary land of Kaldoron. For thousands of years this kingdom had been the center of both peaceful times and devastating war. There was something mysterious and unusual about this place that separated it from all the other kingdoms, but no one really knew what it was. They say that its glorious history dates back long before even man, to a time when mystical creatures once inhabited the land. Whether this is truth or legend, it was this mystical presence that has kept the people of Kaldoron loyal to its rulers. But unfortunately, that would soon be tested. Now the Kingdom of Kaldoron was ruled by a young and very ambitious leader named King Lucius. He had taken over the throne at a rather young age when his father was killed during one of his vicious campaigns. Well, young Lucius had seen firsthand what can happen when power and greed takes over while the common good of the people is ignored. Due to his father's evil ways, King Lucius was left with very little when he inherited the throne. With very little gold and even less hope, it seemed like the land of Kaldoron would struggle through these hard times.
