Anatomy is the basis of medicine. The science of anatomy helps the doctor in understanding the disease. An anatomist will decide whether to perform a physical examination or use advanced imaging techniques. Anatomy is also considered a vital science for dentists, chiropractors, occupational therapists, and all people who somehow play a role in treating patients.
